Time for another Color Inspiration Challenge.. I haven't been able to participate in the last few but I was ready to go for this one..Check out the other entries as well on Kristina's Blog here...

Now onto my card.. I broke out another new set called Choo Choo from the Occasions Mini Catalog.. This set has seen lots of ink.. I purchased it for my son Elvis who is a train fanatic and he has been stamping with it for a month now...

I stamped the images in Baja Breeze, So Saffron, More Mustard and Sahara Sand.. and then I added some chipboard that I covered with So Saffron Craft ink. The ticket corner punch was used on my focal piece and some More Mustard brads in the corners.. All the pieces were sponged Included the card base which is Sahara Sand and Baja Breeze.. This is a smaller card that measures 3 x 6 1/2.. The clouds are stamped in Baja Breeze, cut out and then adhered with dimensionals..

I'm back! Did ya miss me? Besides having a crazy week, sometimes my creative MoJo goes on a hiatus..I think it's back so let's see what I can come up with during the week.

Today is Sunday and that means it's time for Sunday Stamps.. We are on week 12 and the letter "L".. Come and play along and upload your card into the Mr. Linky box below..

Here is my card for last weeks letter "K" I didn't have one set that began with the letter "K", so I had to dig deep in my Retired sets and I came across Knobbly Gnomes. It was unmounted and never used.. So this is the first time the rubber has seen ink!

I love this set and I really like how my card came out. I stamped the image in Black Staz On on Naturals White Card Stock and then I colored him in with my Blender Pen and my inks.. I picked Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Really Rust. I then applied a Spica glitter pen to some of the image.

I masked the image and I sponged some Baja Breeze around the image. I then layered it on a piece of So Saffron and Chocolate Chip that I punched with the ticket corner punch. I stamped the Sanded background in Chocolate Chip onto my Really Rust card base, and I added a Baja Breeze Button with a piece of Chocolate Chip grosgrain.

It's pouring down rain here, It's been weeks now.. I'm off to entertain my house guest.. I hope everyone had a good weekend...

I'm still here! I disappeared again on you.. I had a really busy week and my 4 year old is still sick so he was home most of the week and my Dad and brother came into town on Friday for a visit until Monday.. I went and saw Wicked today.. It was awesome!! The best musical I've seen yet.. I really want to see it again before it leaves town at the end of the month..

I will be back to stamping tomorrow I promise.. I have my Sunday Stamps Card half assemblemed.. I hope everyone else is having a great weekend..

Welcome to the Mother's Day edition of Sunday Stamps! We are on the letter "K". You know the rules by now... but just in case you are new and don't I'll tell ya! Here is my card for last weeks letter "J" I was shocked! I have only one set that begins with "J" anyone wanna guess which set that might be? If you guessed "Just Jawing" you were right. Since it's Mother's Day I made a card for mom.. Can't believe I turned skull and cross bones into a card for my mother, but I did..lol

Sorry about it being a bit dark, that might just be the way it looks on my screen I don't know. I took it outside but I think the dark table and the card having Chocolate Chip on the bottom might of been to much. You'll want to click on the photo to see the enlarged view to see the sparkle.

Here are my Cards for last weeks letter "I" I was surprised I only have 3 sets with this letter.. At least down here in my current sets. I think I might go dig around in my retired stamps and see what I have hiding up there. The sets I have are "Inspired by Nature", "Independence Day" and It's a Loop Thing" which is the set I choose this week.

I made 2 3x3 little note cards. They are super easy and quick when you need just a small note!

Wow.. You ladies have no idea what I've been through to get you this template!!! My printer finally died on me and I had to get a new one, which turned into a new wireless router and 6 hours on the phone with HP, the router company and Apple Support everything stopped working at once.. lol But I've got it all straight now! YEAH!!! I never thought switching to a MAC would be so hard, but I think in the long run it will be worth it.

So here is the template. I didn't get the video done but I will get that edited tonight and up for you tomorrow in the AM.. So Print out your templates on a piece of generic card stock and set them aside for tomorrow..When the video will be up..IT will look weird to you until you see the video.

The file is a PDF.. remember when you print you need to change the layout to landscape and click the box that gives you a preview that fits on the paper or scale to fit.. each printer is different.. It will print to true size 8 1/2 x 11..

Here is a card I made for a Swap I did this past weekend with some local Demonstrators. I used the Polished Stone Technique.. And I went back to my favorite set again.. "The Free and the Brave" I think it's safe to say this set is a keeper for me.

Sorry the photo has a bright spot.. Still trying to figure things out.

Here is a close up of the detail..

I will be doing a video tutorial on this technique and should have that up later this week and I have the video for the Tea Bag Holder ready to be edited as well so keep an eye out.. I just need to play with the video editing software first.

It's time for this weeks Sunday Stamps.. We are on the letter "I".. Not sure what I will find with that letter... Anyone out there have any sets that begin with the letter "I" or know of any?

You know what to do.. Post a link to your creation, and on Saturday I will showcase the entries and someone will get a prize.. We haven't had any entries in a few weeks.. Don't be shy... Jump right in!

Here is my card for last weeks letter "H" I choose the set.. Humor in High Heels. You really have to see this card in person to really see it shine! But it's so pretty.. This is based on a Card Jaron WInder did at the Orlando Regionals.. I got a brief photo of part of it. but never got to see what it looked like up close.. So I went with my memory!

He did his in Yo Yo Yellow.

I used a Whisper White Card Base.. and I stamped my shoes in Orchid Opulence, and the words in Elegant Eggplant. I then took a piece of Orchid Opulence and punched out 3 1 3/8 inch circles and added them to the card, with another piece of OO card stock I covered it with VersaMark and heat & Stick Powder.

Then I covered it with the purple glitter from the Fine Cosmo Glitter. I then torn the side off (very messy).. and adhered it to the card..I took the rhinestone out of three purple Rhinestone brads and adhered them with mini glue dots.. added a piece of Eggplant ribbon and I was finished.

Do you know how to pop the brads out? Do you want me to show you? If you do let me know and I'll do a quick tutorial on that for everyone. It's really easy.

computer malfunction

Sorry everyone.. I'm having major computer issues and everything is crashing at once.. i was able to get the template done. But no instructions.. I have Windows Vista and I've reached my breaking point! I'm moving on.. Give me the weekend to get everything transferred and up and working and I will be back...

I'm slacking in my stamping again.. I know! I've been working on the template and tutorial for the Tea Bag Holder should have that for you later today or tomorrow..and I've been cleaning and organizing my stamp stuff! Which is a bonus for ya'll..We are almost to 30,000 Hits and Blog Candy and I've been finding some cool things in my stash.. Once I get it all together and a photo taken we'll get the Blog Candy rollin'.

Fifth Avenue Floral

So this is the second card I've made with this set.. This is one of those sets that I had to have but I waited over 3 months to get my hands on it..And now I'm not really sure what to do with it..lol.. Go figure right? It looks a lot like the last card I made with it..

I used Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze for my base and I sponged around the edges of both. Then I added the Whisper White layer and I added the tag with dimensionals and added a piece of 5/8" Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon. The flowers are stamped in Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze

Now onto my card for last week's letter "G".. I choose the set "Good Friend" The card idea is right from the Catalog Sampler, some of it has been changed. I changed the center of the flower and I used Craft Ink to cover my Chipboard. One cool trick we learned at regional's in Orlando.. was to pop the rhinestone out of the Rhinestone brads. It was tricky.. if you try it I would use your rubber scissors.

Set: Good Friend, Card Stock: Rose Red, Whisper White & Old Olive Good Morning DSP, Scalloped border punch, 5/8 in circle punch, On Board So Tweet, Old Olive Craft Ink, Pacific Point, Summer Sun & Rose Red Classic Inks,Fired Rhine stone Brads & Designer Hardware Hooray.

Tea Bag Gift Holder

Look what I got for you today.. Isn't this pretty.. I used the Manhattan Flower Textured Embossing Folder. I got the idea from a Tea Sample they were giving out at Starbucks a while back. I picked it up and though I don't know how but I can use this and Viola!

So after some measuring and a few patterns this is what I got..If enough people request it I will make the pattern up into a PDF. File that you can download and maybe do a video tutorial on assembling it from the pattern.. What do you think? Wanna make one too?

I rubbed some of the Apricot Appeal ink over the embossed flower image and then I used the Apricot DSP from the Level 1 hostess pack and covered the sides, back and inside. I used this color to match my tea bags..

It was rather easy to assemble. I stamped the For You in Whisper White and it's from the new set "Great Friend" you'll find in the Occasions mini Catalog.

I got some more things I've been working on today but I forgot to take a picture of them all at once so I'll show em to you later.. I'll be back tomorrow with Sunday Stamps. Hope your having a good weekend so far!

Artisan Projects are in the mail and on there way to UT!! Keep your fingers crossed for.. I worked my Bum off getting these projects done.. and I think I'm going to need to do at least one scrapbook page a month to get ready for next year..They were the most challenging for me.

While I was creating I've stumbled upon a lot of goodies I have that I've never used, so I'm putting together my blog candy for the upcoming 30,000 hits as I clean my desk and find my way back to the top..lol.

Happy Easter!!! I hope this weeks Sunday Stamps finds you all having a wonderful Chocolate Bunny filled day.

Here is my Card for the letter "F".. I choose the set "The Free and The Brave" I had a lot of "F" sets it was a hard choice.. But if you know me you know I love this set as much as the Skull one! I know this one begins with (The) but we aren't counting that.

The technique I choose is called spotlighting with a Punch and you can see a video tutorial I made on it here.

The card base is Riding Hood Red & Pacific Point. The image is stamped on Naturals White and mounted on Basic Black. My focal image is stamped with Black StazOn. I used the 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 inch square punches.

And Way to Go to the US Navy Seals!! How fitting my card says "Welcome Home". They just rescued Capt. Richard Phllips. These pirates need to be stopped!

They layout is from this past weeks Card Sketch over at Splitcoast CC223.

KW Color Inspiration Challenge

It's time for another Challenge and I was able to play along this week.

I really like these colors together.. I'm hoping I can get some time to make another card before the Deadline..

Here are the details: The set is from the Occasions Mini that started April 1st.. called "Great Friend"..Card Stock and Ink are Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. Polka Dot DSP is from "Bella Rose" I used the scalloped border punch on the Pacific Point piece and the Black Striped Ribbon is a stray piece that I had laying around from a Stampin' Up! Ribbon Originals a few catalogs back.

Below is a detail shot of the Butterfly.. I used a Quickie Glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to the details of the Butterfly.. I love the Quickie Glue Pen, some of you have received one from Blog Candy or from entering Sunday Stamps. Isn't it a great little pen?

I hope everyone is having a great start to the Easter Weekend..Hope there are lots of Chocolate Bunnies for you on Sunday.

Is a day late this week..Having camera issues and my mojo has run off again..This card does nothing for me.. But I did do some Dry Embossing for you. Last week was the letter "E" and I choose the set "Eastern Blooms".One of the sets I had to have because it had Cherry Blossoms in it.. But I never used it!..lol. So this is the first time it's seen ink. Shameful I know..

It's hard to tell by the photo but the same Embossed border that is along the top is along the bottom as well and I dry embossed over the Blossom image. I used the "Floral Frenzy" Classy Brass template that coordinates with this set. I used Pretty & Pink and Chocolate Chip card stock, Bashful Blue is sponged behind the image. The ribbon is chocolate poly twill from a few minis back.

Now onto this weeks Sunday Stamps.. We are on the letter "F" Upload your creation with the sets that begin with the letter "F" in the Mr.Linky box below and I will choose someone to receive a special gift and I'll post your images next Sunday!

Thanks to everyone that's been voting for me.. I need to beat the leading lady who has like 187 already.. I was hit with a migraine late yesterday afternoon and it took me out. I went to bed at 5pm... Doctor switched my meds and I've been getting less but the new meds takes longer to get rid of it when I do get one. So I didn't get a chance to play with me new stuff..Today I worked on my Artisan Award projects.. Easter Chicks a plenty!!

Wow! Where did that week go? I got the Easter treat boxes for you I’ve been making.. These are super cute, but they took me forever..

First Challenge I had was this was a pattern I’ve never used before and it was a bit tricky, but once I was into the 10th one I got the hang of it.. Yes! I made 16 of these folks.. and 10 nugget boxes.

Second challenge was Both of my kids classes are all boys.. So I had to make these eggs look more masculine, when the original was pastel. So I worked with the supplies I had on hand and I think they came out okay. Only 3 had a bit of pink on them.. and I think the Baja Breeze one if my favorite.

3 days & nights and a good 16 hours later and they were done. I don’t know why I always think of these project so close to when they need to be done! I didn’t get a picture of the nugget boxes.. It was 2am when I was finished and I had to be up at 6am to get my son on the bus with them.

But I do have one Egg left and would you like to have him for your Easter? Leave a comment below and I will pick a name on Monday and ship him out to you, candy and all.

Time for another Color Inspiration Challenge over at Kwernerdesign.com

My card base is So Saffron. I stamped the Bird from "Good Friends" in So Saffron & Tangerine Tango. Then I cut the wing from the chocolate Chip paper in the "Good Morning Sunshine" DSP.I also used a piece of that to make the scallop border with the border punch. I stamped the Words in Chocolate Chip and attached a piece of 5/8Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon.

Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge over at Splitcoast. You were only allowed to use Black & White.. No other colors!

I used my Favorite Set Just Jawing, retired DSP, Basic Black & Whisper White Card Stock, Scalloped Edge punch, Circle Scissors Plus, Wide Oval Punch, Chunky Essentials Glitter & Vintage Brads.

The eyes are a shaker...I just double layered him and made the shaker with a cello bag, dimensionals and the glitter.. Really easy!

Okay, Gotta clear the desk a bit and I can make some more.

This is the card I did for this weeks Color and Sketch Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.

The Colors where Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. These colors say Spring to me and I thought this set was perfect.

Sets: Flight of the Butterfly & Inspired by nature DSP: Bella Rose & (retired) Pretty in Pink. Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Inks: same as card Stock. Soft Subtles Brads.

Friends 24~7...

These are the cards from Terry's latest Spectacular.. And also the final projects I have to complete.. I'm so happy I was able to get all these made up.

The set she chose was Friends 24-7.. This is not a typical set that I would purchase.. But I really like it now that I've used it.

This first card is my Favorite of all time.. It's gorgeous!!

The background is stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and embossed with clear powder.The Saying is also embossed. It's so pretty!!!

This card features the new scallop Oval Punch that will be available next month in the Occasions mini catalog.

I believe this is called a Genie Bag.. It uses the Top Note Die and a small paper bag cut down. The scallop behind the bird is from the Birds & Blooms die. Do you have your Sizzix yet? If you not what are you waiting for? Contact me today!

This box is made using the new Box #2 die and a piece of the new textured Parisian Breeze Speciality Paper.. The window is made using the Wide Scallop Oval.

A Muse class..

Last month I attened a class at a LSS (local scrapbooking store. It was taught be an A Muse instructor, while this is not Stampin' Up! I still like to see what is out there and you never know where you'll get ideas or learn new techniques.

The stamps are cute.. But they are small images, so most of the cards made with them are small.. 4x4 3x3 etc...

Look close and you will see some Stampin' Up! Punches used in there.. The coffe cup card laying flat is actually a very cute gift card holder..I never would of though to make it this way. So see I learned something new.

Hubby had duty yesterday. Which means he spent 24 hours on the ship. So I let the kids run a muck and I stamped. I watched Twilight 3 times too..I finished all the cards from the last three Spectacular's my Upline Terry had since October. They were starting to collect in a big envelope.

Color Inspiration Challenge #46

Time for this weeks Color Challenge over at Kwernerdesign.com

Love these colors and I really like the samples of that fabric.. How pretty and oh so Girly!!! I can't wait to see what they were turned into.

Here is my card:

I stamped the Baroque image in Craft Black and then I added and overlay of the same image offset with the Craft Bashful blue.. I wanted a rich color and adequate coverage that's why I used the craft ink and as you can see it didn't work as planned I have some white spaces in there.

The flowers are stamped in Pretty and Pink, Riding Hood Red and Regal Rose. I added some dazzling Diamonds to the petals and a Clear rhinestone to each center. The edge of the white piece and the Blue Card base is sponged with more Bashful Blue and it's matted on a piece of Basic Black.

I then added 2 black brads to the upper left corner and the word "Cherish" to the lower corner.. That is stamped in StazOn.. I tried 3 different types of black inks to get the look I want but nothing was the right darkness it seemed.

Overall I really like it..and my Skull card made the top 15 last week, how cool is that!

I've been stamping since 10am and it's now 9pm...I've watched Twilight 3 times with a few pauses here and there.. I have some more pictures to post once I get the kiddos down for the night.

Sorry for the disappearing act.. It's been a crazy and stressful week. I'm having neighbor issues and it's draining me. I haven't been able to get much of anything done this week with all the millions of phone calls I've been making and I'm tired from the lack of sleep because they are loud!!

So anyways.. Sunday Stamps last week didn't happen so here it is.. Just a bit shy of a week late...lol. Could be worse right?

We were on the letter "C".. I choose to use the set "Crazy for Cupcakes". My upline and friend Terry had a spectacular featuring this set back in October.. Wow! I moved just shortly after I got my stuff in the mail and I'm just now getting around to putting it together.. So I'll have some more cards for you in the next few days.

This card features the Sizzix Scallop envelope die, Bashful Blue DSP, Jumbo Eyelets and Designer Brads.

I have a few swaps that I'm in monthly and these are 2 of the swap cards that I sent out..

I don't know about you but, I'm loving "Trendy Trees". I think it's my new favorite set..

Trendy Trees: Retired DSP, Really Rust, Sage Shadow & Very Vanilla Card Stock. Retired Chocolate poly twill ribbon. 1 3/8 circle & scallop circle punch. Inks: Sage Shadow &Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pads, Really rust & More Mustard Markers.

*If you look at the Tree Close up you will see the Mustard and Rust on the leaves.. This is a pretty cool Technique.. I'm sure it has a name but I just call it Marker Bouncing! You stamp the leaves in the sage ink and then tap the ends of your marker tips onto the image and when you stamp you have the different colors showing up.

Love this card!!!It came together so pretty..

Stamp Sets: Upsy daisy & Frames with a flourish. Non SU white card stock. SU retired DSP. 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon. Inks: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy & Old Olive.

I stamped the Flowers in Night of Navy First and then I stamped again with the Bashful Blue.. You just move the stamp over a bit from where you had it the first time. Super Quick Card.. And Don't forget your Stamp-a-ma-jig.. Love that tool!

I'm loving this new Chipboard.. Isn't it cute? It's called "On Board So Tweet". It has lots of these adorable birds, owls, flowers and hearts.

This card looks a bit different then what yours will. I made my card base Chocolate Chip and just used the front of the card. I was a bit challenged while making this card. Not sure what it was.. But WOW!! I stamped and assembled this card 7 times! Yes 7 times.. I put the DSP on wrong, got ink all over it, my images wouldn't line up. You name it, I was having issues. So I just decided to use the front I had and make a different base..

That's the great thing about Paper Crafting you can make it your own or following the instructions.

This is the box that holds 10 small tags..You will be making 2 of each Tag.

All of these projects use "Good Morning Sunshine DSP", "Good Friend" Stamp Set,Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Whisper White Card Stock. Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip & Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink. Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon.

Color Challenge #44 & Sunday Stamps

Time for another Color Challenge...I also made this card for my Sunday Stamps.. This week was the letter B and the set I choose is Baroque Motifs.

This card is 5x5 and the 1/2 circle flap opens.. So to make this card you'll want to cut your paper to 12x5 and score at 2" & 5".

I then used the circle cutter to cut my half circle in Chocolate Chip.. I stamped the Baroque with Chocolate Chip on the half circle and my Pretty in Pink square which measures 3 3/4x 3 3/4. I punched the Cherish from Warm Words out with the small Oval punch and stressed the edges with some more chocolate Chip and adhered it with a dimensional.

I used three flowers from the Pretties Kit and I colored them in Close to Coca and Pretty in Pink with my Ink Pad and my Aqua Painter.. Very easy.. I also added some Chocolate Chip to the edges of the large flower with a sponge.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new Sunday Stamps.

I have a new tutorial for y'all!!!

These are the favors I made for my son's class for Valentine's Day. Austin has 9 kids where as Elvis had 48 needless to say I didn't make anything for him this year we did store bought.. (Hanging head in shame!)

KW Color Inspiration #42

It's time for another Inspiration Challenge and I was able to play along...

Here is what I came up with:

The sets are Autumn Harvest and Holidays & Wishes. I used More Mustard as my base, and sponged some mustard around the edges. I ran a piece or Whisper White and Really Rust through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I masked my pumpkins, and colored them in with the watercolor crayons. I then added a piece of Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon.

I'll be back once I get the kiddos in bed and post some other things I've been working on and I have a video tutorial in the process if I can get a few minutes to myself tonight...

Swap Projects..

I participated in Valentine's Day Swap over at My Chihuahua Bites This is the first time I've done a swap like this. My partner liked scrapbooking, cool picture frames and I noticed on her blog she was like me and adamant about sending out Thank You cards.

I found a very cute frame at Wal-Mart and thought it needed a little something extra so this is the before:

I added several SU ribbons and some of the Buttons from the Button Bouquet.

Next I made a Star Album for her, I added some embellishments inside and then she can just add the photos and it's ready to go.

I choose the Green Tea DSP , it's retired but I loved this paper and I think it came out really well.

Here is a look at the inside pages from the top, when you have this open and tied it looks like a star.

I alo sent some yummy Godiva Truffles a cool refrigerator magnet from VA and I made a set of 4 Thank You cards for her to have on hand. You never know when you'll need a Thank You card.

I used the retired DS paper Banbury, Hat Pins from the Pretties Kit, Bashful Blue Stitched Ribbon and the Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. The Thank You is from the set "Short & Sweet". The small white flowers on the Pins are punched from the Trio Flower punch.

I packaged them in a Clear Box with envelopes and added some Bashful Blue Grosgrain to the outside.. Looks very pretty!! I almost didn't want to part with these.

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day with your loved ones. My husband and I are celebrating today with a nice dinner. I had my first gastric band fill on Friday so I've been on a liquid diet for 2 days so that put a crimp in our dinner plans. But I ready to eat today!!

He got me a very nice Pedicure from the Aveda salon, I went yesterday and indulged.. It was heaven, if you have an Aveda salon anywhere near you it's worth it their products are awesome.. Hair, body or face!

I'll try not to stay away for so long.. This week was crazy!

from the Orlando Regional.. Sorry it's taken me so long.

This is a very cute Gift Note holder, and inside it contains three of the scalloped notes with a coordinating envelopes.The envelopes are really easy to do, you slip a piece of DSP inside and then trim around the flap.

The set is Best Wishes and More. Products used are Scalloped Notes, Flower Fusion, the 1 3/4 in circle punch, chocolate chip grosgrain and silver brads.

This is a quick post, it's almost midnight and I get up at 6am and I have another workout with the trainer in the AM so I need some sleep. I'll be back tomorrow with the pictures of the projects I made for the V-Day swap i'm in.

Highlighting some new products!

Sorry I've gone MIA again.. My days just seem to fly by anymore, I was able to get some quiet time in today and finish up some of my make n' takes from the Orlando Regional I attended in Jan. Hard to believe this stuff has been sitting here for weeks still untouched.. And I still have my Make n' Takes from Leadership to assemble lol..

Anyways on to the cards....This one is a treat pouch and it uses the set Soft Summer. It also features one of our new Embosslit dies called Simply Flower. These are really cool. The DSP I used with it has a white core, so once you emboss the image with the die; take your sanding block and sand over the raised image and it shows the core of the paper giving you a new look!

The brad in the middle of the flower is one of our new corduroy brad/button combos in chocolate chip... You have to see these in person to really get the feel for them. They are gorgeous!!

This next card uses the same stamp set and it showcases water coloring.. I used markers on the watercolor paper. I stamped my image in StazOn and then I outlined parts of the image with my Markers and went over those lines with my Aqua Painter to blend them in. This is just one of the many ways you can watercolor an image.

The card above and the card below are the down falls of why I didn't get much done while I was at Regional. The above card was stamped oh I'd say about 4 times before I just went with what I had and said I'd finish at home!... I was having some issues.

This card also uses the set Soft Summer; and it won when the day was over. As you can see I have a make shift Band-Aid on my saying..lol Really? How clever was that? I was given 2 new pieces of paper but I just keep messing up.. This card also uses the new colored Library Clips and the new Eyelet Border Punch.

I love, love, love this layout and the layout size!! It's an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 page perfect for those of us that can handle a 6x6 but don't do well with a 12x12..(That's so me.) I can't wait to find a photo for it. We didn't get any snow in FL last year and no snow yet in VA..

Here you can see more of the elements on the page. It uses the new On Board Timeless Type Chipboard, Library Clips, Metal Edge tags and a Rhinestone Brad. The chipboard was colored with White & Olive Craft Pads and the Blue arrow was colored with a sponge and the Pacific Point Ink Pad.

I stamped the Snowflake from the Best Wishes and more stamp set that we received free with White on the Pacific Blue Card Stock and then went over it with the VersaMarker and it really made that snowflake pop!. I then punched it out with the
1 3/4 inch circle Punch and layered it on the tag. The circles along the edge of the page are punched from the same coordinating Card stock with a 3/4 inch circle punch and randomly placed.

I still have 2 more projects to finish from Regional as well.. So I will try to get those done tomorrow and posted for you. I started at the gym with a trainer on Tuesday;I'm sore and not sitting too well for long periods of time so bare with me..

Creative Spaces..

I've seen others Creative spaces so I thought I'd show you mine. I haven't gotten much stamping done in the last few days because my desk looked like this:

No wonder my mojo has been hiding; it's lost somewhere on the desk. Our new house is very small as I've mentioned before and my desk is in the Dinning room/living room area and right behind the couch. So we are cramped.

Here are some pictures of how I have my area laid out it's not the most convenient but it works for this house so far.

My desk after cleaning it all day! Yes Virginia, There is such a thing as a clean workspace. At least for a few minutes.

This is a cubby hole in the wall I was able to fit my cabinet in. It's behind my desk area.

Everyone needs good inspiration.. and this picture is perfect or to just keep a smile on your face!!

This is the cabinet that I keep all of my current Stampin' Up! Stamps in. My husband has a rule, that once this is full I cannot get anymore..lol. I will find a space in there if I need too.. And when the Retired list comes out there is magically space open again.

I keep my 12x12 Papers in the drawers along with my Chipboard. The smaller drawers hold my embossing powders, glitters and smaller items.

This stackable drawer unit fits under the side of my desk and keeps my adhesives, small punches, loose ribbons, light table, sponges and odd and ends at arms reach.My Large punches hang in a shoe organizer on the back of the closet door in the entry way.

Under my desk I have my Filing cabinet and my Big shot (in the checkered bag.

In the bottom drawer I keep my scrap papers in folders grouped by color families. I reach here first instead of using a full sheet of paper.

In the top drawer I keep my Craft spots, and Black inks. My Crop-a-dile and random tools.

Ribbon are stored in Stampin' Up! Ribbon keepers.

The flower pot my son made in his preschool class and it's perfect to hold my snips, scissors, bone folder, glue, tweezers and all those other tools you use a lot.

It's time for another one of Kristina Werner's Inspiration Challenge....

This is what I came up with..

The set is Just Jawing..The DSP is a scrap I found so I don't know the name of the pack it comes from. I used my Coluzzle, Scalloped Edge, Large Oval Punch and some So Saffron Twill Ribbon.

I'm still adjusting from my trip to Orlando.. My husband has duty tomorrow so I plan on using the day to get caught up.. I still need to finish my Make n' Takes from Both Leadership and Regional. Hopefully I can get those posted on Sunday.

Cards from the week....

These first 2 are my CASED Catty cards.. I still have a ton of cards in the Old Book that I want to make. I'll get to it someday..

This card was in a frame and I decided to make it a card and change it a bit. I used Kiwi Kiss tone on tone.. I sprayed the background with the Ink art Tool and I colored my flower brad with some winter white embossing powder and popped the rhinestone from a rhinestone brad and placed it in the middle. A small piece of Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon and Viola! The set is Inspired by Nature..another set that this is the first time it's seen ink.. But at least it's seen some ink finally RIGHT?

I love this card.. Sad to say that I didn't use the stamp set but twice (hanging head in shame!)but I did use the rub-ons that came with them. This was the level 3 hostess set Holiday Happenings Bundle.

My Dad's Birthday was this past Tuesday and this is the card I made for him. I have a hard time with guy cards. It seems that I don't have a lot of stamps for guys..So I think it's time to change that.. The new catty has some great ones in it and I will be acquiring those just for these occasions. I do like the challenge though of taking what I have and making it work.

Love these colors...This is what I came up with for the challenge.

I used the set Big Bold Birthday..The embossed dots on the circle are from the Crop-a-dile.I made the scalloped edge using 3/4 inch circles. The Circle is cut from the Coluzzle. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the heart and flames on the cupcake.

Here is the card I made for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge. It's been a really long time since I've been able to meet the deadline for one of these.

I used the Flight of the Butterfly Set. This is one of the sets I choose for winning the December SS contest from Stampin' Up!. So needless to say this is the first time the rubber has seen ink!

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly& Polka Dot BG. Card Stock & Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red & Pretty in Pink. Old Olive Wide grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Border punch, Soft Subtles Brads and Dazzling Diamonds.

I have a Birthday Card for you this evening!.. My Friend Dawn's Birthday is on the 2nd and I'm always late with her card seeing as how it sneaks up on you being so close to Xmas and New Years.. But this year I'm ready; I have her card made and a Big ol' Box of goodies packed to be mailed. Unfortunately the Post Office were I live was closed today so they will be late after all..Go figure!

I used the Crazy for Cupcakes set with some Banbury DSP.. I love this paper!

The card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I used a filigree brad for the closure. I just slid the Celery ribbon through the brad and pulled it to tighten.

This is what it looks like when you undo the ribbon and start to open it..

This is the card closed and you can see I covered the cupcakes frosting with dazzling diamonds and I added Crystal effects to the Cherries and the stand they are sitting on!!

What I've been up too...

I've been busy getting stuff ready for Christmas to mail out and the gifts for the kids teacher and other students.. Seems like there just isn't enough time in the day.

I don't have a photo of my teacher gifts.. I forgot to take a pictures as it was well past 2am when I was done on day number 2 making them. These are pictures of the treats I made for my son Austin's class, the bus driver treats and my peppermint bark I mailed out.

I used the Big shot and the Top Note Die for these. I cut the die in Kraft card stock and then I stamped the snowflakes in white and the greeting in black. I added some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon for that finishing touch.

These are the treats for the class..I whipped these up last minute or you could say 1am..I used the Top Note Die again with Real Red Card stock and then I used some curling ribbon in green. I added a jingle bell as well near the knot.. Looked super cute. I used the level 2 set Deer Friends for the Stamped image. I stamped the image twice and punched it out and popped out the center to give it that 3D look.

These are those huge Hershey Bars you see.. Kinda of like a Movie Theatre size.. They were on sale for a $1 each and I grabbed a few.. Perfect for the Bus drivers.. I wrapped them in the Holiday DSP added some ribbon and a Jingle Bell.. Love those!! The stamped image is from the Cute and Curly set and it's punched out with the curly label punch.

But I seem to get my greatest ideas when it's like this!

Blog Candy and Change of address cards....

I wanted to do some Blog Candy for my 1100 post but I missed it..seeing as how I'm a bit over, but it's better late then never..With the move and unpacking I'm finding all kinds of goodies, and the sad thing is they are new and never opened... So my lost your gain..

Leave me a comment in this post telling me how you organize your Stamping Supplies..we are in a very small house and I've got to find a better system. I'll pick the 4 most creative and useful on Friday.. Winners will get a goody bag of paper crafting supplies.

It's taken me two days in between a million other things as well but I managed to crank out 20 of these beauties.. I think they are adorable.. I used the set " Humor in High Heels" and some of the level 3 hostess set "Holiday Happenings Bundle" DS paper and the Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I used Chocolate Chip as my base for the card. The dress is stamped twice, once on Pink Pirouette, cut out and then again on Whisper White and mounted on a piece of Kiwi Kiss. I used Dimensionals on the dress to mount it to the white as well as the Kiwi Piece to the Chocolate Chip.. I stamped the " Change of a dress" with Chocolate Chip on Pink Pirouette and punched it out with the Word Window punch. Super easy and very cute......

Christmas Cards and a Gift...

I needed to start on my Christmas cards and with the move their just isn't a lot of time for me to get everything done..So I remembered I had a Simply Sent Card Kit and I got that out and whipped up 16 cards in no time. You can still get your kit before Xmas by shopping online on my website.

I added some Dimensionals,Mellow Moss and Creme Grosgrain Ribbon to give them an extra touch.
I needed to wrap an ornament for an exchange I'm in and I don't have any adult wrapping paper so what a great opportunity to use some of our fabulous DSP.. It took a sheet and 1/2 to cover the box and then I made a matching tag for it as well. The ribbon is the Striped Baja Breeze Grosgrain.

Sorry about the photo quality, I'm still getting used to the light from the window on my desk and you have to get it at the right time of day.

Well after a very long journey we made it to VA. All the boxes are unpacked and the house almost looks normal. The housing here is really small compared to everywhere else so we are cramped, but making do. My craft supplies have been recovered, they are scattered everywhere so once I get them all organized I will get back to card making.. I should have some new post for you in a few days.

I claimed my three free stamp sets from Stampin' Up! for winning the November Contest. I chose an Alphabet set, A rose is a Rose and Frames with a Flourish. Lots of new goodies..

PS.. Some of you have asked about my surgery. I had the Gastric Band or Lap-Band as it's called on the 11th of Nov. I'm down 23 pounds as of today and I'm recovering well.

The movers came and everything has been loaded on the truck and we are all checked out of housing. We are staying at the Navy Lodge here on Base and we leave tomorrow at noon for VA. Our stuff is suppose to be there on Wednesday so I should be unpacked by the end of the weekend and back on Schedule. My surgery went well and I'm slowly healing. It's a bit hard when you are doing a move but I managed. Thanks for checking in. I will try to update when I'm near the Internet.
